National Institute of Technology, Srinagar

One of the original NITs, Srinagar was founded in 1960 under the name Regional Engineering College Srinagar. Curfews and strikes occur frequently in this area. In this circumstance, leaving campus is not permitted. The college offers a small gym and a recreation room with two carrom tables, two chess boards, and five TT tables. Every hostel at NIT Srinagar is equipped with modern amenities. Every hostel has a separate mess area here, and the food quality is high there as well.
